Squeaks has a last minute card game at Bugs' house. Bugs is thrilled, until con-artist Shifty shows up to ruin the fun.

- According to storyboard artist, Michael J. Ruoco, there were originally going to be more squirrels, but to make things simpler for the story and for the animators later down the road, the storyboard artists agreed to narrow it down to only four.
- The other squirrels are mentioned in the start of the short.
- Cousin Gary was supposed to be the cowboy squirrel (based off supervising director Gary Hartle).
- Cousin Jeffrey was supposed to be the business squirrel.
- Cousin Arnold was supposed to be the nerdy squirrel.
- Cousin Skeeter was supposed to be the bug-eyed squirrel.
- The other squirrels are mentioned in the start of the short.
