Cartoon Network is a television channel to air New Looney Tunes in the United States. Its programming mostly consists of cartoons, as the name implies, but the channel has aired a couple of live-action shows. New Looney Tunes is rated TV-Y7 on the network.

New Looney Tunes premiered on September 21, 2015, with the episode called Buddha Bugs, with abrupt promotion that lasted about a week. The program stopped airing on Cartoon Network on March 12, 2016, with the abrupt hiatus of most Warner Bros. Animation television shows. Eventually, the show moved its home to Boomerang.

Scheduling[]

New Looney Tunes aired every day at 5:00PM EST for three weeks, moving the new Total Drama series, The Ridonculous Race out of its timeslot, pushing the show to a new timeslot at 7:30PM EST.

Ratings ranged around one million for the first few weeks of the season, with the early intention for the show to be a sneak peak and premiere in its natural home, Boomerang, when it was October 2015. However, Cartoon Network decided to air the show simultaneously on Cartoon Network and Boomerang, due to the impressive ratings.

For the October 15, 2015 premiere of Hareplane Mode and Bugs of Steel on, the premieres of new episodes of the series were moved up to 2:00PM EST. Ratings declined immediately with 0.70 million viewers watching those episodes, down from 1.25 million viewers the previous week when Painter Paint Hare and The Spy Who Bugged Me premiered.

  • Emoji Era (July 2015-June 2016): This was the first look that New Looney Tunes had. Most Cartoon Network shows of this era had custom emoji created for them that was used for bumpers, but New Looney Tunes was one of the newer shows that did not have any. Kids appeared in the bumpers as well to advertise new programming.
